With his mathematics background, Noah designs straightforward, linear recycling solutions that work. Noah is the co-leader of Northstar and is accountable for Sales, Marketing, and Finance.

NOAH AFTER WORK: Noah’s time after work is dedicated to his wife Lori and his three boys, Ryan, Ben, and Ethan. An avid sports enthusiast, Noah enjoys playing golf and coaching his three sons in their sporting endeavors year round. Noah is heavily invested in his community where he supports the Jewish Community Center and the Jimmy Fund.

SETH AFTER WORK: Seth values spending time with his wife, Jenna, and their three children, Jake, Rachel and Carly. Seth is actively involved with YPO where he holds a leadership position in the Western New England Chapter, and is committed to his community where he supports the Jewish Community Center and the Jimmy Fund. Seth is also a competitive runner and enjoys golfing, hoping to play the top 100 courses in the United States.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Steven’s passion for sustainability and waste management experience lead him to join Northstar in 2016. His career began at Michigan State University, where he co-founded the student organization “Sustainable Spartans,” and received national recognition for his efforts in reducing food waste on campus. He has also worked on the research and development teams at both Walt Disney Imagineering and Keurig Green Mountain, conducting life cycle and cost benefit analyses. Steven continues to use his diverse skill set to help companies in various industries achieve their waste reduction and sustainability related goals.

EDUCATION: B.S. in Environmental Studies and Agriscience with concentrations in Science and Policy, Michigan State University

STEVEN AFTER WORK: When the day is done Steven spends his time listening to music and attending concerts. He also enjoys camping, cooking, trying different varieties of craft beer, touring arboretums, and experiencing new things.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Bridget joined Northstar after interning at a trade association in Washington, DC and a small environmental non-profit in Wilmington, NC. She brings experience in recycling and environmental stewardship programs within the plastics industry. At the University Of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW), Bridget was a trip-leader, taking students and facility on kayaking, standup paddle boarding, and surfing trips. She was also a member of UNCW’s Student Government Senate. Both activities at UNCW and her internships have taught Bridget the importance of attention to detail, problem solving, and customer service.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Alex joined Northstar straight out of college. Alex has worked in a verity of hotels and even a restaurant tech company during his time in college. The hotels ranged from Hilton DoubleTree to the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. After studying abroad in a sustainability program, Alex realized he wanted to combine his interests by joining Northstar. He believes he can apply his expertise in hospitality with a strong passion for providing excellent service to clients, helping them achieve their goals of sustainability through recycling.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Despite growing up in a suburb of NYC, Tom’s passion for the environment first formed as a young boy caring for his family’s vegetable garden. Tom chose to focus his college education on sustainability and the environment. Prior to joining Northstar Recycling, Tom worked at the Paleontological Research Institution during his college years. At Cornell, Tom served as captain of his club soccer team and is excited to bring his leadership skills, friendly demeanor, and passion for the environment to his clients at Northstar Recycling.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: After studying physics and astronomy during her first two years in college, Ariel realized her skills were better put to use fighting the very tangible problems of climate change. Though she enjoyed her experiences in research and science education, her semester studying sustainable development in Denmark inspired her to work towards improving environmental sustainability. She was thrilled to join the Northstar team, where she is able to apply her problem solving skills and desire to learn in order to reduce industrial waste.

ARIEL AFTER WORK: Ariel has had a strong connection with music for as long as she can remember. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: With over 25 years of experience working as a teacher, coach, and summer program administrator at Dexter Southfield (a prep school in Brookline, MA) Scott is a beloved mentor and inspirational leader. Applying his impressive background, Scott enhances our team as the Director of Employee Experience, in addition to heading many of the human resource elements of the company.

SCOTT AFTER WORK: Scott spends his time after work with his wife (Susan) and his two children (Chris and Alivia), both of whom are currently college students. Scott, a former college athlete and high school basketball coach, is a big fan of the Celtics and Patriots. He enjoys attending games at Boston College and spending time with his wife’s large extended family in the Boston Area.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Lana comes to Northstar with 15 years of customer service experience in a large call center environment, and 15 years in the public school system as a paraeducator with children with intensive needs. In this role Lana came to understand that love is truly unconditional. For her, it was an extremely rewarding experience.

Colton’s strong technical skills and passion for reducing waste makes him a valued member of the Accounting department.

COLTON AFTER WORK: Colton spends all of his free time either scavenging the local flea markets & thrift shops or going to the movies. He also plays retro video games, is an avid collector of all things vintage and enjoys hiking with his close friends.
