Ariel Donlin

A tiny blue dot set in a sunbeam. Here it is. That’s where we live. That’s home. We humans are one species and this is our world. It is our responsibility to cherish it. Of all the worlds in our solar system, the only one so far as we know, graced by life.” –Carl Sagan
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: After studying physics and astronomy during her first two years in college, Ariel realized her skills were better put to use fighting the very tangible problems of climate change. Though she enjoyed her experiences in research and science education, her semester studying sustainable development in Denmark inspired her to work towards improving environmental sustainability. She was thrilled to join the Northstar team, where she is able to apply her problem solving skills and desire to learn in order to reduce industrial waste.
EDUCATION: B.A. Physics, College of Arts and Sciences, Cornell University
ARIEL AFTER WORK: Ariel has had a strong connection with music for as long as she can remember. She plays three instruments and is learning how to play piano (and is always looking for new music to listen to). Ariel also enjoys rock climbing, exploring the great outdoors of Western Massachusetts with her friends, and watching her favorite television shows.
