Jade Goegebuer

“What is the use of a fine house if you haven’t got a tolerable planet to put it on?” -Henry David Thoreau
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Over the past six years Jade has worked auditing and setting up programs throughout the United States ranging from city led initiatives, to private commercial property setups, to hauler led programs, and working on corporate level portfolio wide goals. During her time as the Senior Recycling Specialist at Keter Environmental Services for the western United States she combined her background in art with her passion for sustainability education to redesign all of the signage and create new education based handouts for commercial properties to aid in the implementation of organics and recycling programs.
EDUCATION: B.F.A. in Illustration, Laguna College of Art and Design; Recycling Resource Management certificate, Santa Monica College; LEED Green Associate; TRUE Advisor certificate
JADE AFTER WORK: Jade was recently married at the end of February and lives in Long Beach, CA with her husband Justin. They love walking to the local farmers markets, library, and coffee shops in the area and enjoy the wide array of things to do. Jade has a background in art and loves to watercolor paint and draw when they are inspired, some of which has been on her trips to the local state and national parks over the last few years with Justin. She is an avid reader, especially on environmental and sustainability topics. While she doesn’t have any pets yet she does have a vermi-composting setup (worm farm) in her apartment to reduce organic waste and hopes to someday soon have a space to grow vegetables in a little garden.
