Emma Jones

“And I urge you to please notice when you are happy, and exclaim or murmur or think at some point, ‘If this isn’t nice, I don’t know what is.” -Kurt Vonnegut

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Emma joined Northstar after working as a Sustainability Specialist in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she helped to expand two metro-area county multi-unit recycling programs. Prior to this experience, she served as an AmeriCorps Member in rural Minnesota where she developed a waste reduction program for apartment dwellers and managers. Emma first delved in the waste reduction field during an internship in college where she studied municipal waste practices in Sweden, comparing them to municipal practices in the county where her alma mater was located. Emma is thrilled to leverage her experience in waste reduction to help achieve greater impacts further upstream.
