Jeff Wakely

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Jeff joined Northstar as its first ever CFO after a long career as a high-tech CFO in a variety of private and public corporations. Jeff was most recently the CFO of private equity owned Bigbelly Solar, the world’s leading provider of consumer smart waste and recycling systems. Prior to Bigbelly, Jeff had worked in senior leaderships positions such as CFO of Visible Measures, Techtarget and SVP of Finance for Netscout Systems. An operationally driven CFO, Jeff has navigated several companies through successful exits and has raised significant capital for his companies in the venture capital, private equity and public marketplace. Jeff remains devoted to fostering young people to pursue careers in finance and technology as the Vice Chairman for the Center for Entrepreneurship at Wake Forest University. Jeff was a 2015 nominee for CFO of the year by the Boston Business Journal. He started his career as a CPA at Deloitte.

JEFF AFTER WORK: Outside of work, Jeff enjoys spending time and travelling with his wife and two sons, golfing with his friends and chasing after his yellow Labrador retriever. An avid sports fan Jeff is a long time New England Patriots season ticket holder and a devoted fan of his Demon Deacons. He is an avid reader and listener of non-fiction books and podcasts, especially true crime, and spends as much time as possible on Cape Cod.
